Paul Johnston will be representing Sybrin at the BA Summit 2016 in Sandton, South Africa. Running from the 12 th to the 14 th of September, the BA Summit is the official conference of the South African chapter of the IIBA. Titled “Business Analysis Across Africa - Lessons Learned Running Requirements Workshops in 8 African Countries,” Paul's talk will focus on the lessons Sybrin has learned implementing systems across Africa.

African Experience.

Paul is a Business Analysis Manager at Sybrin and leads a team of four seasoned Business Analysts. He has 14 years' IT experience as a Startup Entrepreneur turned Fintech Business Analyst. Focusing on Payment Solutions, his expertise covers Cheque, EFT, RTGS, SWIFT, and Mobile Payments. Paul has designed, improved, and supported systems in Nigeria, Rwanda, Malawi, Zambia, Kenya, Tanzania, Lesotho, and South Africa. This extensive experience positions him perfectly to highlight the effects that culture, legislature, and language have on the art of business analysis.

Sybrin has implemented systems across Africa, and has accrued a wealth of experience on how to deliver in an African context. This presentation will focus on the Business Analysis role across Africa and how it differs from country to country, including what approaches have worked, and how to avoid common mistakes.
